Gerd diet

How do you know if you are suffering from acid reflux disorder? After a meal, if the contents of your stomach came back up to your throat, then you are probably suffering from acid reflux disorder or gerd, sometimes referred to as acid heartburn reflux.

There are other digestive tract disorders with similar symptoms, even though we refer to them differently.

The stomach uses hydrochloric acid to digest the food and when the acid escapes from the stomach up into the esophagus, it causes acid heartburn reflux.

Each of us has the hydrochloric acid in our gut to breakdown the food that we eat, and therefore that is where it should stay.
The burning sensation that can be felt in the area of the stomach and heart happens when the digestive fluid travels up the food tract.
When we have that feeling, and thinking that we suffer from acid reflux disorder, we decide on a gerd diet.

Food is normally trapped in the stomach by the lower esophageal valve after it has passed through to avoid this problem.
The problems start when, for some reason, this valve does not shut, and the stomach's digestive juices are allowed to flow back up (acid reflux) causing heartburn sensation.

Doctors abbreviate the condition to gerd, or "gastroesophageal reflux disorder." At the moment, it is considered that a gert diet is the underlying reason for the acid reflux problem, but not the main cause of the condition.

Many people who overeat discover that they have gerd. They automatically search for a gerd diet. Because of their eating habits, it affects the stomach walls and place pressure on the muscles surrounding them.

This affects the functioning of the esophageal valve, causing reflux and heartburn sensation.
When you feel the heartburn seansation, it is advisable to start looking for gerd diet.

Since this valve protects your esophagus from your stomach acid, take care of the valve and ensure that it does not allow digested acidic food to pass back into the esophagus.

The easiest way to reduce the incidences of heartburn is to reduce the size of the meals, and not try gerd diet immediately.

Using drugs to reduce the effects of heartburn and calm the stomach can only be considered a temporary measure, which is the same as gerd diet.
It may take a while, but the best solution is to try some kind of gerd diet. Within a few months, you will find that your stomach has build up its resistance considerably.
